Homeschool Geography GeoBee Club
Starting on February 22, 2013, a homeschool geography club will meet at Lyndon’s Cobleigh Library on the last Friday of each month at 10 a.m. The group is for homeschoolers who are interested in geography and for prepping for future GeoBee competitions. NEK History Day: Call for Homeschoolers
On March 27, 2013 the Old Stone House Museum/Orleans Historical Society, Inc. will once again host the NEK History Day competition at IROC in Derby, VT. All students in grades 6-12 are invited to participate whether they attend public or private school or are homeschooled. NEK History Day is a competition in which students choose historical topics and conduct extensive primary and secondary research through libraries, archives, museums, oral history interviews and historic sites (like the Old Stone House Museum). After analyzing and interpreting their sources and drawing conclusions about their topics’ significance in history, students present their work in exhibits, performances or documentaries.
