I had the opportunity to attend a class with my little ones today and it was fabulous! Clarissa is an amazing toddler/preschooler teacher and she really knows how to keep those short little attention spans focused! My kids loved their experience and can’t wait to go back! Children’s Art Classes at Catamount Arts
On Monday, January 9th a new children’s art class series begins at Catamount Arts in St. Johnsbury. The series is for preschool children ages 3-5. Collage and Crafts “is a children’s art class meeting each Monday morning for eight weeks that incorporates a variety of skills, such as cutting, pasting, drawing and painting, while experimenting with colors and shapes. Children should plan on lots of fun and parents should plan on lots of messy fingers.” The instructor is Lisa Emerson. The class runs through February 27th and is offered at 9am-9:45 or 10am-10:45am. Super Easy Playdough Recipe!
Forget about rushing out to the store for playdoh. It’s a cinch to make yourself. Here’s a recipe that works. The best part? Besides being fast to prepare, you probably already have the ingredients in your cupboard and kids will stay entertained for hours. Playdough 2 cups flour 1 cup salt 2 tablesppons cream of tarter 2 cups of water 1 tablespoons mineral or vegetable oil food coloring (or koolaid for smell) Mix ingredients in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat. Stir until stiff. Remove from burner. Allow to Cool. Knead. Store in airtight container.
