NEK Moms Watch: Munchkin Bathtub Toy Recall

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) announced a voluntary recall of approximately 34,000 Munchkin Bathtub Toy Submarines.  According to CPSC, at least 19 laceration injuries/incidents have been reported as a result of a valve on the bottom of the toy that can suck up loose skin.  The “recall involves battery-operated bathtub submarine toys.  The toy is yellow, has a smiling face, turquoise windows, an orange propeller and an orange periscope that turns the toy on and off.”  Consumers are advised to immediately discontinue use and take the toy away from children.
