Vermont Looks for Soap Box Derby Racers

Wondering what’s the deal with Soap Box Racing, let alone the call for racers plastered around the Northeast Kingdom on bright pink 8×11″ paper?  Well, the skinny is that Soap Box Racing is a youth car racing program that’s been around since the early 1900s.  Rather than using fossil fuel–aka gas–to motor, these little vehicles depend on gravity.  Soap Box racing is a big deal, with organized racing across the United States.

The Newport Area Soap Box Derby is looking for VERMONT racers age 9-18 for the Stock Division and the Super Stock Division.  So, if your child is interested in racing or developing a new hobby, you can find more info here.
