Coutts-Moriarty (Derby)

The Coutts-Moriarty Summer Camp brings an 80 year tradition of providing high quality camp experiences that allow campers to make new friends and grow in self-esteem & self-confidence. Located in Derby, Vermont on Lake Salem, Coutts takes full advantage of the incredible outdoor recreation opportunities, unique natural history, and rich cultural traditions of our region.Day and residential camp options are available to campers 3-15 years old.

Day Camp Program coed ages 5-12

Drop off 8:30 & pick-up 4-4:30pm Overnight option on Thursday night !! Camp slideshow/pick-up starts at 2pm Friday. Each day we provide a healthy hot lunch and two snacks. Each day campers choose from a mix of small group activities. Visit program activities page for more details.
Residential Camp Program coed ages 8-12
We provide a supportive overnight camping environment that enables campers to build close friendships and memories to last a lifetime. Residential campers join day campers for a mix of small group activities throughout the day. Evening programs including campfires, night hikes, and whole camp games. Campers arrive Sunday at 4pm. Campers will explore the wonders of nature as they create, learn, read, play, hike, canoe, dance, swim, sing, and have fun in an enriching safe environment. Camp is from 8:30-11:30, we provide a healthy snack each day.
REDUCED RATES for those eligible for the Vermont school free/reduced lunch program.

Adventure Camps
All of our Adventure Camps are run by experienced staff whom are close enough to their own teen years to remember what it was like and yet far enough removed to effectively ensure a physically and emotionally safe camp experience.
Northern Forest Explorers Canoe Camp
Note: offered two weeks for two different age groups

July 30-Aug 3 for ages 9-12 new younger ages!!
Aug 6 –10 for ages 12-15
Highlighting local sections of the 740 mile Northern Forest Canoe Trail, this is the perfect camp for those looking for a real canoe adventure. This camp blends a bit of river ecology, high ropes course, climbing, holy cow swinging, hiking with a variety of different paddling and camping on local sections of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail. Thanks to the generous support of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, we are able to offer this camp at a greatly reduced rate. Space is limited.
Cost is $100/wk *Note these Camps are residential & run 8:30am Mon. – 2pm Fri.
Counselor In Training July 2–4 Ages 13-15
While being a camp counselor is both fun and rewarding, it also requires hard work, patience, maturity, and a lot of skills. This camp provides a good introduction into the life of a Coutts counselor. CIT’s build leadership skills, become CPR & First Aid trained, and gain experience in helping run a number of camp activities. CIT’s who successfully complete this training week are eligible to return for one week of Camp as a Volunteer Camp Counselor. Cost is $200 Camp runs Mon. 8:30am-Wed. 4pm and is residential
Invaders of the Darkness July 11 –15 Ages 12-15
Experience a “day” at Camp by the light of the moon as Coutts goes nocturnal! This popular camp is tailored to teens who like to stay up late and sleep till noon. Beginning the first day of camp, campers gradually stay up later and later (and sleep in longer) until mid-week when we head out at midnight to climb, paddle, holy cow, and more.
Cost is $340/wk Reduced rate $250/wk Camp runs Sunday 4pm-Friday 2pm
Outdoor Adventures Camp July 22 -27 Ages 12-15
Head out of camp and challenge yourself! This camp blends some mountain biking, Lake Willoughby beach time, river canoeing, two nights tenting away from camp, the holy cow swing, archery, trapeze bar, hiking, climbing, kayaking, building 20’ tall sculptures, canoeing, swimming, and much more. You will do it all in this camp!!!
Cost is $340/wk Reduced Rate $250/wk Camp runs Sunday 4pm-Friday 2pm

Kamp Iwannahavfun

• St. Johnsbury.  Organized by St. Johnsbury Recreation, offers weekly summer day camps.  8am-4pm. $135/week. Discount for multiple children. 751-2304
