Vermont Health Officials Urge Parents to Temporarily Switch to Liquid Infant Formula

Days after the Similac recall (by maker Abbott), Vermont health officials are again urging parents not to take any chances with recalled powder infant formula. Rather than use recalled Similac or Isomil formulas that may contain traces of bettle parts, Vermont’s health officials want parents to discontinue use and opt for a liquid alternative.

It is thought that as many as 1,700 Vermont families in the WIC program may have received recalled formula.  WIC participants can get formula replacements at the Vermont Health Department.
