Easy Halloween Decoration Ideas to Spookify Your House

Looking for some quick, inexpensive ways to deck out your house for Halloween?  Try these simple ideas:

Black Cat Silhouettes.  Trace this pattern or this one (thanks, Martha Stewart) on black construction or heavyweight paper (or use an old cereal box and color or paint it black) and let the kids go crazy cutting out black cat silhouettes.  Put up around the house and Voila!

Cobwebs and Spiders.  Grab a bag of stretchy “spider webs” at the store (less than $2) or make your own out of yarn or cheesecloth.  Decorate over mirrors, picture frames, and around your house.

Cover your furniture.  Give your living area that creepy feeling by covering furniture with old white sheets.
