NEK Moms Weekend Scoop: May 19-20

What a beautiful weekend in the NEK!  Here’s a quick look at some of the weekend’s family-fun in and around the area.   It’s a bustling weekend in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom–outdoor adventure, riding on Kingdom Trails, running races, plant sales, yard sales, gardening and more…. Enjoy the sunshine!

Saturday, May 19th:

• Dandelion 1/2 Marathon, 10K, Relay & Kids 1 Mile Race (Derby). 9:00 start.
• Riverside School Fun Run. 9am registration.
• Vermont Children’s Theater Auditions (Lyndonville), 2-5:30pm, depending on age.  Click here for schedule.
• NEK Farm to Yarn Tour Weekend (Various participating farms), 10am-5pm.  Click here for more info.
  
•  Time, Talent & Treasure Auction (Derby), United Church.  Silent auction and food.  Kicks off at 4:30 p.m.

Sunday, May 20th:

• Vermont Children’s Theater Auditions (Lyndonville), 2-5:30pm, depending on age.  Click here for schedule.
• Women’s Mountain Bike Clinic (E. Burke), 10am-11am.  FREE! The Village Sport Shop and Liv/Giant representative Lauren Ziedonis will be in East Burke Village (at the log yard parking area) to help women learn the “how tos” about mountain biking!
• Women’s Mountain Bike and Road Demo (E. Burke), Noon-4pm  FREE! The Village Sport Shop and Liv/Giant representative Lauren Ziedonis will be in East Burke Village (at the log yard parking area) to show you and let you ride some of the coolest bike gear.
