NEK Moms Weekend Scoop: June 24-26

Despite a bit of rain, wanna know what’s hot around town this weekend?  Here are some events planned for this weekend in and around the NEK:

Friday, June 24th:

• Friday Night Live Kickoff (Island Pond), On the Green, 6pm – 10pm, Rain or Shine.  Music, BBQ, vendors, raffles.  Sponsored by Island Pond Chamber of Commerce.

Saturday, June 25th:

• Hooray!  The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Kingdom Trails Bike Lift Service/Burke Bike Park with Governor Shumlin (Burke), 12pm.  Info at: Kingdom Trails
• Storytime, Waterford’s Davies Memorial Library, 10am
• St. Johnsbury Farmer’s Market, Downtown (St. Johnsbury), 9am-1pm, Municipal Parking Lot Behind Anthony’s Diner
• Northeast Kingdom’s LARGEST Yard Sale EVENT – The Cabot Town Wide Yard Sale! (Cabot), 9am-3pm

• Cobleigh Library’s Summer Reading Kick Off, Municipal Building Gym, 11am-noon
• Newport Kingdom Spay-Neuter Program Benefit Yard Sale (Newport), 8:30am-3:30pm, 172 Sias Ave.
• Craftsbury Fire Dept. Annual Chicken BBQ (Craftsbury), 4-6pm, Masonic Hall, Info call:  586-2286.
