Children’s Items Needed for the St. Johnsbury Coat Drive at Salvation Army

If this week’s weather has you digging winter gear out of the closets, keep in mind that the 9th Annual Paul Sweeney Memorial Coat drive takes place this Saturday, October 29th (9am-1pm) at the Salvation Army on Railroad Street in Saint Johnsbury.  Children’s items are in need!!  So, if you happen to stumble upon outgrown or no-longer loved winter coats, boots, snow pants, mittens or scarves, why not drop them off by tomorrow, October 28th at Central VT Public Service, 603 Main Street, St. Johnsbury.  For info call:  748-0803 x 180.  What a great way to help local families!

*Update 10/28/2011 – Coats are being accepted TODAY, 10/28 at the Salvation Army Store from 12-5pm (located next to the “Old Train Station Building”). Donations will also be accepted during the give away tomorrow 9am-1pm.
