Kingdom Trails to Hold Family-Friendly, Fun Citizen XC Ski Races

Kingdom Trails, the multi-use trail system that is truly like no other–and it’s right here in the NEK, is holding three XC ski Fun Races February 12, 19 & 26th at 3:30pm.  Registration starts at 3pm on those days at the Dashney Nordic Center in East Burke (head toward Burke Mountain and look for signs, you can’t miss it!).  $5/entry fee.  These low-key, fun races are the perfect way to break into Nordic ski racing or to simply get some fresh VT winter air!

The event takes place on the 4K Sugar Woods Trail–one of my kids’ favorites!  Enjoy it at your own pace or race it like your skis are on fire.  Hot chocolate will be served to all racers, families and friends in the warming hut.
