Fall Children’s Story Hours in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom – NEK

Looking for an exciting library enrichment program for your child or children this fall, or simply an opportunity to mingle (and maybe laugh or even commiserate) with other moms for an hour or so! Well, here’s what you need to know–the where and what, at least–about Storytime in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom:

St. Johnsbury Athenaeum (St. Johnsbury): Every Monday at 11:00 AM. All ages welcome. Other cool kid offerings: drop in knitting club on Tuesday afternoons, homeschool meet-up on Tuesdays at 1pm (knitting and board game club), and International Children’s Digital Library. Homeschooled families are eligible for free library membership.

Cobleigh Public Library (Lyndonville): Children’s Librarian Tina Achilles runs fun, attention-grabbing children’s programs, including Baby/Toddler Storytime on Tuesdays at 10am (subject to change – in collaboration with Lyndonville Headstart) and Preschool Storytime on Wednesdays at 10:30am. Other cool kid offerings: Library Origami (paper-folding) group on Tuesdays at 3:15 (4th grade and up), homeschool bulletin board, and ongoing kid-friendly events.

Goodrich Memorial Library (Newport): Wednesday Story Hour at 10:30am, includes stories, games, and crafts. Other cool kid offerings: Chess Club (4th grade and up), families can “borrow” Fairbanks Museum pass and “Echo” pass.

Cabot Public Library (Cabot): Children’s Story Hour on Tuesdays at 10:30am.

Greensboro Free Library (Greensboro): Children’s Story Hours on Thursdays at 1:00pm.

Craftsbury Public Library (Craftsbury): Offers Baby/Toddler Story Hour on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. and Pre-School Story Hour on Fridays at 10 a.m.

Haskell Free Library (Derby Line): Offers Toddler Time on Thursdays (9:45am-10:30am) and Preschool Storytime on Fridays at 10:30 a.m.

Town of Bradford Library (Bradford): Offers a Children’s Story Hour on Fridays at 10a.m.

Peacham Library (Peacham): Contact the library for upcoming / tentative story hours
