NEK Moms Weekend Scoop: December 10-11

Excitement is in the air this weekend in the NEK.  Burke Mountain’s Mid Lodge is open for ticket sales–open lifts include the Poma Lift and Willoughby Chair, with three open trails.  The 2010/11 East Coast Snocross Series also kicks off at Burke Mt. this weekend.  But snow and ski fun is only part of the story….  Keep reading to glimpse weekend family fun in and around the Kingdom.

Saturday, December 11th:

• Northeast Kingdom Winter Farmer’s Market (Lyndonville, Breslin Ctr), 10-1pm
• Annual Christmas Bazaar, Good Shepherd School (St. Johnsbury)
• Burke Mid-Lodge Opens.  $30 tickets all age, Burke Mountain
• Cookie Walk, St. Johnsbury, 1-3pm, Good Living Senior Ctr.
• East Coast Snocross, Burke Mountain, shows at 11:45 and 2:45pm
• Covered Bridge Primitives & Willy’s Restaurant old-fashioned Christmas Open House, 11:00-4:00 (East Burke)
• Public Skating, Fenton Chester Ice Arena (Lyndon Ctr.)- 5:45-7:45pm

Sunday, December 12th:

• Northeast Kingdom Nordic Club/ Bill Koch XC Ice Breaker, Burke Mountain Academy Dining Hall, 2-4.  Come register your kids for the season!
• Covered Bridge Primitives & Willy’s Restaurant old-fashioned Christmas Open House, 11:00-4:00 (East Burke)
