NEK Moms Weekend Scoop: Oct. 28-30

Here’s a quick look at a few activities around the Kingdom this weekend. If you haven’t already scoped out the area’s Halloween activities, check out this list and the Events Calendar, as  those events may not be listed below.

Friday, October 28th:

• Music Jam (Derby),  Derby Line Village Hall, 7pm. Doors open at 6pm, Admission by donation.
• Halloween Costume Ball with musical act Mellow Yellow.  Hardwick Town House. 7:30pm.  For the whole family!
• Poetry Readings (Newport), MAC Center for the Arts, 6pm.  Info call 334-1966.

Saturday, October 29th:

• Westmore Fall Festival (Westmore), Community Church, 9am-3pm
• Coat Drive & Winter Coat Giveaway, Salvation Army, St. Johnsbury, 9am-1pm – Drop off or Get winter clothing.
• Halloween Hustle Run or Walk (Derby), 9am. 10K, 5K or 1M walk. Info contact 334-8511
• Halloween BOO-nanaza (Newport), 439 East Main Street, 10am. Info call 334-6587
• Catamount Bluegrass Jam (St. Johnsbury), Catamount Arts, 7pm.  Free. Open to all.

Sunday, October 30th:

• Halloween Horse Show & Silent Auction (Newport Center), Route 5, Missisquoi Valley Arabians, 9am. Info call 673-6855.
• West Glover Haunted Forest, 765 Parker Road, West Glover. 6-10pm. $3 kids/$5 adults.
