Northeast Kingdom Swim Team Looks To Grow 2016-2017 Team
Northeast Kingdom Aquatics, the non-profit youth swim team that practices at Lyndon State College in Lyndonville, Vermont, is looking to add new swimmers to the 2016-2017 team. Registration is open for the Fall and Winter season. The team offers competitive and recreational swim opportunities. Today is one of those days where you wake up and find yourself up to your armpits in pee. Not your own mind you…the kind of pee that accidentally made it’s way onto the floor instead of the potty (aka: toddler) or onto the bathmat instead of the lawn (aka: dog). You find that the smoothie you were making is actually leaking all over the counter because the bottom wasn’t screwed on tight and that when you walk outside you are virtually carried away by mosquitoes. You know Summer in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom is almost here when chatter about Powers Park swim programs (Lyndonville) starts. Here’s the scoop about Powers Park Swimming and Tennis Lesson Registration for 2012: Registration for Swim & Tennis Lessons starts June 15th at 10:30a.m. at Powers Park. Kids’ Winter Athletics in the Northeast Kingdom
If you’re looking to get sporty as a family this winter or introduce your child to organized winter athletics, here are a few local NEK options. St. Johnsbury Recreation offers Youth Basketball (two groups: 4-5 year olds and 6-8 year olds). You can register online here. Meets at St. Johnsbury School on Saturday mornings. $15. Northeast Kingdom Nordic Club debuts the Bill Koch Youth Nordic Ski League. Meets on Saturdays, beginning on Jan. 1st. All ages welcome. $35 first child/$25 siblings.
